This World Voice Day (WVD), we’re excited to bring together voice geeks from around the globe for a special Meet the Author session with Dr. Ian Howell, moderated by Dr. Dann Mitton. Centred around Dr. Ian Howell’s new book, this session offers valuable insights directly from the author. This is our little contribution to celebrating WVD and sharing the wonderful work within the voice world. We’d be thrilled if you could join us!
The Book:
Ian’s new book, Hearing Singing: A Guide to Functional Listening and Voice Perception, explores how we can learn to critically listen to singers, and how we can train our ears to tie those sounds to dependable vocal functions.
Highlights of the Event:
- Exclusive Book Overview: Gain insight into the material covered in the book, and discover how to navigate its contents for deeper understanding.
- Interactive Q&A: Have your questions answered in a dynamic, open discussion.
- Practical Engagement: We will all hear some sound samples together and practice functional listening.
This session is in celebration of World Voice Day, a day we celebrate every year with our fellow voice geeks. This years motto is EMPOWER YOUR VOICE!

We look forward to seeing you there!
