This session will focus on the work of Sanford Meisner, introducing the core principles of his technique and discussing the possible benefits to performers.
Aimed at those working within the field of acting, in this session we’ll consider practical exercises and strategies to help deepen your understanding of the Meisner Technique and discover ways it may influence and enhance your teaching practice.
If you’re looking for ways to encourage actors to connect to the present moment and find authenticity within their work, the Meisner Technique may offer a solution. From the repetition exercises to the reality of doing, in this introduction to the Meisner Technique we’ll look at the potential the technique offers us as practitioners to help promote a sense of present moment awareness.
