Jessica received her Bachelor of Science degree in Choral and Vocal Music Education as well as Elementary Education from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 2013. She was privileged to study Applied Voice under Mrs. Kathryn Wurster as well as Advanced Piano with Dr. Bethel Balge. She first found her love of teaching voice lessons during her junior year when she was assigned a voice student as part of a vocal pedagogy class.
After graduation, Jessica began teaching voice lessons and continued studying voice under Mrs. Sue Stott at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, MI. She took time off from teaching and taking lessons when she and her husband welcomed their daughter in 2018. She began teaching voice lessons again in 2022, and became a voice and piano adjudicator for the Wisconsin State Music Association in 2024, adjudicating at both the district and state levels. Jessica is extremely excited to further her knowledge as a part of the Master of Arts Voice Pedagogy Program with the Voice Study Centre so she can better serve her students!
