Meet the New MA Voice Pedagogy Cohort | Steffi Jo Cannelli

Tuesday 23rd June 2026

As MA Voice Pedagogy Cohort E4 settles in, we’re delighted to introduce some of the talented professionals joining our learning community from around the world.

Among those joining us is Steffi Jo Cannelli, a professional vocalist with over 20 years of experience, blending classical technique with crossover artistry across pop, R&B, and musical theatre.

Steffi is currently starring as the “Singer in White” in Cirque du Soleil’s Alegría on its European tour and will continue with the production as it travels to South America later this year.

She previously performed as the sole vocalist in the original cast of Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life, created in collaboration with Disney in Orlando, Florida. Her additional performance credits include The Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as well as an appearance on American Idol (ABC, Season 14).

Upon completing Berklee College of Music’s Professional Songwriting Program, Steffi’s original work earned a Top 5 placement for Best Alternative Song at the Independent Music Awards (Lincoln Center, NYC). She also contributed lyrics to a Cirque du Soleil Icarian act, blending “Cirque-style” linguistic elements into the piece.

In addition to her live performance career, Steffi’s artistic versatility extends to voiceover work, including radio advertisements, audiobook narrations, and various multimedia projects.

We are delighted to welcome Steffi to Voice Study Centre and look forward to supporting the next stage of her journey.
