Jennifer is a lecturer and voice and singing teacher working primarily with musical theatre performers. Jennifer is Subject Lead in Spoken Voice at Bird College and has previously taught at Mountview. She also manages a private teaching practice in London with students ranging from singing actors to corporate clients. Jennifer trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and later with ENO Opera Works. Performance credits include a variety of plays, musicals and operas. Jennifer’s interest in aiding singers with accents was sparked whilst working as a performer in repertory seasons, taking on multiple roles (both spoken and sung) and different accents. Jennifer holds a BA in Drama (minor French Literature) from Royal Holloway College, University of London and gained an MA in Voice Pedagogy at the Voice Study Centre, through which she developed her research connecting pedagogical approaches between voice (spoken) and singing. Jennifer has presented her findings on Singing in Regional Accents at the AOTOS Summer conference 2024 and published in the Voice and Speech Review 2025.
