Besfort Williams has been teaching singing for almost 20 years. He is a Somatic Voicework ™ Faculty Member, and is a Franklin Method Movement Educator. Besfort is the Voice Rehabilitation Coach at Guy’s Hospital, one of London’s leading Specialist Voice Clinics. He is a former director of the British Voice Association and worked on the BVA Education Working Party for five years, helping to organise multidisciplinary courses for Voice Professionals. Besfort trained on the BA Musical Theatre course at GSA, completed his PGCLTHE at Rose Bruford College, and has taken courses in Voice Pedagogy at Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio, USA, and Shenandoah University in Virginia, USA. He has also trained extensively with internationally renowned voice teachers, including Jeanette LoVetri, Mark Meylan, Janice Chapman, Barbara Houseman, and Christina Shewell. He has been invited to teach at leading Institutions, including the Royal College of Music, GSA, LAMDA, and The Urdang Academy. He served as Head of Musical Theatre at Tiffany Theatre College for five years and has taught Singing Technique on the BA (Hons) Course at Arts Ed for over nine years, where he also serves as Vocal Health Consultant. Besfort has acted as a Vocal Consultant for The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Young Vic and the West End productions of ‘The Choir of Man’ & ‘Starlight Express’. He is the Vocal Coach on Kinky Boots, UK & European Tour. He has clients working extensively across Theatre (UK & International Tours, the West End & on Broadway), Film, TV, and the Music Industry.
