Megan Ashley is a vocal coach specialising in musical theatre and singing for actor-musicians. She is a professional actor, singer, and multi-instrumentalist herself, having trained at The Guildford School of Acting, where she gained a 1st-class BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre. Alongside her performing career, she has years of experience teaching singing both privately and at various performing arts schools in the UK.
Megan’s MA Voice Pedagogy research focuses on voice for actor-musicians, in particular exploring the various challenges wind players may face regarding voice and the different methodologies that can aid efficient voice production for these performers. She hopes that this research will raise awareness for the need for careful attention and specific voice work when working with these multi-talented voice users.
