Anne is a professional actress, voice artist, and a Visiting Assistant Professor of theatre at Purdue University. Her professional work has ranged from blockbuster films to Shakespeare in the park, and she has recorded over 300 books, including for the Library of Congress and Pearson Publishing, as well as numerous smaller imprints and publishers. She is also the Director of Education for the Container Globe, a recreation Globe theatre made from shipping containers in Detroit.
With two MAs; the first from Ohio State University, in Theatre History, Literature, and Criticism, and the second from LAMDA in Classical Acting, Anne’s areas of research have ranged from performance styles in the Elizabethan and Jacobean theatres, to variations in rehearsal techniques for classical theatre across cultures. She is also a certified Alba Method teacher, training actors in a physically-based, scientifically-backed way to access emotional clarity in their work, and it is that area she is interested in pursuing for her next phase of work as a researcher, artist, and educator.
